OKOLONA — Brenda Jean Lawson Ivy, 53, died Jan. 9, 2012. Services are Friday at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church in Okolona with the Rev. William F. Givhan officiating. Burial will follow in Oddfellow Cemetery. Visitation is today from 4-7 p.m. at the church. Carter’s Mortuary Services are in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Ivy was born Jan. 26, 19958, in Okolona, to Harvey Lee Lawson Sr. and the late Alice Crumpton Lawson. She was a registered nurse at Take Care Health and Starkville Manor. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Lee Ivy. She is survived by her daughters, Tanya R. and Jaleesa L. Ivy, both of Horn Lake; brothers, Harvey Lee Lawson Jr. of Okolona, Gary Lawson of Verona, and Elbert Lawson of Tupelo; sister, Deirdre Lawson Huntley of Greenwood; and one grandchild.
