VERNON, Ala. — Bobby Dwight Gault, 82, died Nov. 23, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at Chandler Funeral home with Kevin Brown and J.D. Markham officiating. Burial will follow at Furnace Hill. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Chandler Funeral Home of Vernon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Gault was born Jan. 22, 1943, to the late J.G. and Bettie Fay Smith Gault. He was a graduate of Lamar County High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was formerly employed at Monroe County Manufacturing and Kerr McGee Chemical. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Alex Gault; and brother, Harold Gault. 

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Williams Gault; and son, David D. Gault.
