Kennedy, AL – Bobby G. Aldridge went to claim his heavenly home in paradise one day short of 72nd birthday, at 7:10 am October 12, 2013, at Hospice of West Alabama. Bobby was born October 13, 1941, to Nathan and Faye Aldridge. Services will be Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Dowdle Funeral Home Chapel, with Bro. Ronnie Elmore and Bro. Tommy Hughes officiating. Burial will be at Mt. Carmel Church Cemetery with Dowdle Funeral Home officiating. He was preceded in death by his father, Nathan Aldridge and daughter, Lori June Aldridge. Survivors include his mother, Faye Aldridge; his wife of 51 years, Linda Sue Aldridge; his son, Jerome Aldridge; his grandsons, Trey and his wife Kayla and Alan Aldridge; and precious great-grandchild, Kellen Aldridge; and his sister, Angie Hughes. Pallbearers will be Jonas Shelton, Jr. Jenkins, Don Bond, Tyrone Steger, Ray Aldridge and Roger Belcher. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. George Miller and the staff of Hospice of West Alabama. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the advancement of God’s kingdom by supporting Alan Aldridge with his inter-cultural studies at the University of Mobile. Bobby Aldridge could accomplish anything he set his mind to. He was a man of great faith and was always ready to help someone successfully magnify the love of the Lord Jesus Christ. He was looked up to by his family and friends. His legacy will continue for years to come. He taught us to love the Lord with all our hearts because he is the only one that loves us more than we will ever know. He will be missed very much.
