WEST POINT — Bobbie Ann Parson, 74, died Jan. 30, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Mt. Pisgah Waverly M.B. Church, with the Rev. Darren Harris officiating. Burial will follow at West Point Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Saturday at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Parson was born Sept. 12, 1951, in West Point, to the late William Parker and Elzina Parker. She was formerly employed with the West Point School System.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Parson; and siblings, Willie L. Collins, James L. Collins, Isaiah Collins, Cammie Smith and Emma Collins.

She is survived by her daughter, Zinnie Collins Shermaon; siblings, Jesse Collins, Hamilton Collins and Mary Williams; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.
