RUSSELLVILLE, Ala. — Bob Dickens Chaffin Sr., 89, died May 19, 2026. 

A celebration of life will be at 2 p.m. Friday, at North Highland Church of Christ in Russellville. Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Chaffin was born Jan. 10, 1937, in West Lamesa, Texas, to the late John Riley and Ellaree Chaffin. He was formally employed at Cargil Chemicals and was a member of North Highland Church of Christ. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Raymond Chaffin, Billy Holladay and J.C. Chaffin.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Chaffin; sons, Bobby Chaffin, Jr. and Les Chaffin; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
