COLUMBUS — Billy Henley Jr., 68, died Dec. 1, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at BibleWay Progressive Church of God in Christ, with Tommy Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Henley was born Feb. 14, 1957, in Columbus, to the late Billy Henley Sr. and Fannie Ballard Henley. He attended Caldwell High School.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandchild.

He is survived by his wife, Verdia Henley; children, Demarco Hunter, Ontarion Hunter and Juwan Hunter; siblings, Bobbie H. Guyton, Otis Ballard, Terry Henley and George Henley; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
