WEST POINT — Bill Warren Reid, 88, died April 12, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point.

A private family graveside service will be held Friday, at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in West Point, with James Towery officiating. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Reid was born Nov. 13, 1937, in Cedar Bluff, to the late John David and Fannie Bell Ellis Reid. He was a graduate of West Point High School and was a veteran of the United States Army Reserve and the Mississippi National Guard. He was formerly employed as a federal inspector at Bryan Foods with the United States Department of Agriculture. 

In addition to parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruth O’Shields and Libby Jones. 

He is survived by his wife, Kay Reid; daughter, Missy Reid Stennett of Tupelo; sister, Joan Dunham of Williamsburg, Virginia; and one grandchild. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 504 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
