ETHELSVILLE, Ala. — Betty Boothe Wharton, 78, died Dec. 17, 2025, at Arbor Woods Nursing and Rehab in Reform, Alabama.

Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Bobby Boothe and the Rev. Rusty Walker officiating. Burial followed at Greenhill Memorial Gardens. Visitation was one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Skelton Funeral Home of Reform was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Wharton was born Oct. 1, 1947, in Columbus, to the late Henry Jackson Boothe and Willie Mae Burgess Boothe. She was formerly employed with Sullivan Supply and was a member of Reform First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Wharton Jr.; and step-father, Aubrey Lowe.

She is survived by her son, Brian Keith of Ethelsville; brother, Bobby Boothe of Northport; and two grandchildren.
