NOXUBEE COUNTY —  Betty McMillian, 65, died Sept. 1, 2025, in Memphis, Tennessee. 

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Friendship Cemetery in Gholston, with Carl Johnson officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Thursday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. McMillian was born Sept. 14, 1959, in Noxubee County, to the late Eugene McWilliams and Marie McWilliams. She was formerly employed as a cosmetologist and was a member of Miller Chapel M.B.C. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Marie Coleman; and two grandchildren. 

She is survived by her children, Don McMillian of Honolulu, Hawaii, Aleshia McMillian of Macon and Kellie McMillian of Shuqualak; siblings, Lillie Mae Woolridge and Hattie McMillian, both of St. Louis, Missouri, Clinton McWilliams of Shuqualak, Earnestine Ivy of West Point and Sallie Dantzler of Pearl; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
