Betty Carol Latham, 59, died Aug. 5, 2009, at Druid City Hospital Medical Center at Tuscaloosa. Services are Saturday at 11 a.m. at Sanders Chapel CME Church in Columbus, with the Rev. John Honeysuckle officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery. Visitation is today from noon-6 p.m. at Century Hairston Funeral Home Chapel; the family hour is 6-8 p.m. Mrs. Latham was born Feb. 20, 1950, in Oktibbeha County to the late Tommy Faulk and Mary Bell. She was a factory worker with United Technology. She was a member of Sanders Chapel Church and the church secretary. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, Otis Bell; and sister, Dorothy Louise Terry. She is survived by her husband, Oniter Latham, of Columbus; daughters, Kimberly and Crystal Latham, both of Birmingham, Ala.; and sisters, Mattie Tate and Mildred Chaplain, both of Starkville.
