WEST POINT — Betty Sue Bron Kirby, 93, died Aug. 5, 2025.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at First Baptist Church, with the Rev.Michael-John Pope officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Kirby was born Aug. 26, 1931, in Dyersburg, Tennessee, to the late Elbert Thomas and Fannie Mae Miles Brown. She was formerly employed with BellSouth and First National Bank of West Point and was a member of First Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Kirby; and siblings, Freddie Brown, Louard Brown, Richard Brown, Charles Brown, David Brown, Billy Joe Brown, Mary Brandon, Sarah Roe, Louise Garrett and Dorothy Pate.

She is survived by her children, Debby Kirby McNamee, Michele Kirby Parker and Sue Lynn Kirby Terry, all of West Point; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
