CALEDONIA — Betty W. Kidd, 77, died Sept. 14, 2025, at Vero Beach, Florida. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Bethlehem M.B. Church, with the Rev. Willie James Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Kidd was born Dec. 15, 1947, in Caledonia, to the late Nathaniel Baker Sr. and Willie Lee Baker. She was formerly employed at Home Place and Morrisons Restaurant and was a member of Bethlehem M.B. Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Nathaniel Baker, George Baker, John Baker, Willie B. Baker and Dorothy Williams. 

She is survived by her husband, Woodie Kidd; children, Charleen Ausby, Carolyn Ausby, Marcellus Ausby, Lakeisha Maycock, Renee Kidd and Lamont Kidd; siblings, Clara Bower, Ruby Kidd, Elizabeth Baker, Mary D. Marchbank and Tommy James Gunter; and 12 grandchildren.
