WEST POINT — Bernice Chandler, 96, died Dec. 14, 2024, at Diversicare of Amory.

Graveside services will be at noon Sunday, at Pool’s Memorial Garden in West Point, with Billy Marchbanks officiating. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Saturday, at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Chandler was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Inverness, to the late George Brown and Grozelia Hines. She was formerly employed as a domestic worker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Charles Chandler Sr. and son, Willie Charles Chandler Jr.

She is survived by her sons, Charlie Chandler, Albert Chandler and Henry Chandler; daughters, Grozelia Chandler Hendrix, Brenda Chandler Baker, Susie Chandler and Linda Chandler Marchbanks; sister, Juanita Brown McCarley; grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
