ABERDEEN — Benny “Frog” Davis, 78, died Jan. 25, 2026, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel, with Steve Terry officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Calvert Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Davis was born Nov. 14, 1947, in Clay County, to the late Bennie and Sara Elizabeth Cartee Davis. He was formerly self-employed as a carpenter.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Glenda Boland, Hubert, James “Skeet” and Donnie Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Gardner Davis of Aberdeen; daughters, Jeanette Mitchell of Longview, Ann Cobb of Oak Grove, Alabama, Angel Griffin and Amanda Murillo, both of Houston; step-children, Linda Garrett of Hamilton, Timmy Garrard of Columbus, and Eddy Garrard of Caledonia; brother, Ronnie Davis of Cedar Bluff; and a grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
