WEST POINT — Bennie W. Williams, 77, died March 11, 2026, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at First Baptist Cedar Bluff Church in Cedar Bluff, with the Rev. Homer Cannon officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Williams was born May 28, 1948, in Clay County, to the late Charlie J. Williams and Cloria C. Lane. He was a veteran of the United States Army and was formerly employed as a warehouse tech at Columbus Air Force Base.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Charles Williams; and sister, Wilma J. Young.
He is survived by his wife, Rosie B. Chandler Williams; sons, Gerald L. Williams Sr., Jason S. Williams Kendrick Franks; daughter, Christy J. Williams; brothers, Jeffery Williams, Bobby Williams, Mark Williams and Anthony Williams; sisters, Zallie Parker, Bessie Cannon, Patricia Williams and Jackie Williams; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
