COLUMBUS — Bennie “Junior” Will Billups Jr., 77, died June 5, 2026, at his residence. 

Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at United Faith Interdenominational Ministries with Timothy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Billups was born December 29, 1948 in Columbus, to the late Benny Will Billups Sr. and Nellie B. Clemmons Billups. He attended R.E. Hunt School and was formally employed at Phillips Construction, Hardy’s Farm and Ray McIntire Plumbing. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Lizzie W. Billups and Dicy L. Billups; brother, Willie B. Billups; and one grandchild. 

He is survived by his wife, Annie Pearl Billups of Columbus; children, Shelia Billups, Connie Billups, Anthony Billups; Antina Billups and Tammy Billups, all of Columbus; 18 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers are Demarius Mixon, Jarvis Billups, J’Shawn Boyd, Kendre Billups, Vincent Walker and Jerome Monroe Sr.
