NOXUBEE COUNTY — Barbara Stewart, 68, died May 24, 2026, at her residence in Macon. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Mount Bethel M.B. Church with Edward Allen officiating. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Macon is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Stewart was born August 19, 1957, in Noxubee County, to the late Ollie Stewart and Mary Jane Stewart. She was a member of Mount Bethel M.B. Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Lee Grissom; and sister, Lekeitia Stewart. 

She is survived by her children, Mark Stewart and Letarshia Stewart, both of Macon; siblings, Linda Grissom and Ollie Stewaart, both of Macon, Bobby Stewart of Columbus and Lorezo Stewart Euline of McDonough, Georgia; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Fredrick Yates, Jonathan Brandy, Elphashaii Mattox, Jydell Brown, Johnny Spann and Quinton Lee Jones.
