SULLIGENT, Ala. — Barbara Kitchens, 82, died March 17, 2026. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Covin Baptist Church in Fayette, Alabama. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Kitchens was born to the late Andrew and Marie Flynn. She was formerly employed as a seamstress and was a member of Covin Baptist Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Betty Flynn. 

She is survived by her husband, John Kitchens Sr.; children, Rhonda Mordecai, John Paul Kitchens Jr., Karen Easterling; sister, Julia Gooch; and seven grandchildren.
