SULLIGENT, Ala. — Barbara Ann Hollis, 71, died Aug. 17, 2025, at her residence.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at Wofford Cemetery, with William Kirkman officiating. Visitation will follow at the cemetery. Otts Funeral Home of Sulligent is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Hollis was born Nov. 4, 1953, in Amory, to the late Daniel “Dupree” Smith and Mary Virginia Foster Smith. She attended Greenwood Springs and Sulligent Schools.  She was a member of New Beginnings Aposolic Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Bobby Smith; and grandchildren, Jacob Yarbrough. 

She is survived by her husband, Donald Hollis; son Emmett Nolen of Sulligent; daughters, Sandy Nolen Clark, Tina Gilmer, both of Sulligent and Larissa Cook of Summerville; sister, Peggy Downey of Preiestville; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Dennis Downey, Wayne Downey Jr., Jonathan Goodwin, Charles Gilmer and Scotty Clark.
