COLUMBUS — Barbara Ann Bishop, 82, died March 25, 2026, at Trinity Home Healthcare.
No services will be held at this time. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Bishop was born July 18, 1943, in Monticello, to the late Alford Taylor and Lillie Martin Taylor. She was formerly employed as a nurse.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Bishop; son, Alfred Taylor; and siblings, Joyce Jack, Florene Evans, Alfreda Washington, Dorothy Taylor, Leverene Taylor, Clarence Taylor, Charles Ray Taylor, Charles Edward Taylor and Bertel Buckner.
She is survived by her daughters, Jewel Bishop of Columbus and Cassandra Taylor of Florence, South Carolina; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
