Arvis Craddieth

HOUSTON, Texas — Arvis “Peanut” Craddieth, 65, died Sept. 9, 2025, at Michael E. DeBakey VA Medical Center.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, at The Church Without Walls in Houston. Fort Bend Memorial Planning Center of Texas is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Craddieth was born July 2, 1960, in Lowndes County, to the late James and Bernice Dickerson Craddieth. He was a graduate of New Hope High School, attended East Mississippi Community College and was a graduate of Sam Houston State. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Willie Craddieth, Loretta Craddieth-Gray, Culbert Craddieth, Ralph Craddieth, Nettie Ree Ogden, Joshua Craddieth, Bettie Dickerson, Elaine Craddieth-Humphries, and Johnny James Craddieth.
He is survived by his wife, Anamischa Henderson Craddieth; sons, Cameron Craddieth and Sigmound Thomas, both of Houston; siblings, Andrew Craddieth Sr., Keith Craddieth, Rachel Jennings, Delois Craddieth, all of Steens, Jeanette Riles of Tupelo and Otto Craddieth of Chicago, Illinois; and one grandchild.
