WEST POINT — Aerie Cox Stevenson, 95, died Dec. 4, 2025, in West Point.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Mt. Zion M.B. Church, with the Rev. Robert Avant officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-5 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Mortuary Services Chapel. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Stevenson was born May 10, 1930, in West Point, to the late A.C. Cox and Jessie L. Harris Cox. She was formerly employed as a factory worker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Stevenson Sr.; daughter, Lynette S. Walter; and siblings, A.C. Cox, E.G. Cox, John L. Cox, J.C. Cox, Elzenner Cox, Jennie Lue Manning, Ida Cherry, Surlenner Washington, Mammie Cox, Doris L. Cannon and Lucille Hawkins.
