SULLIGENT — Archie Robinson, 59, died Oct. 12, 2010, at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Birmingham. Services are Friday at 2 p.m. at Otts Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Pope Cemetery. Visitation is today from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Robinson was born Nov. 22, 1950, in Lamar County, Ala. to the late Gordon and Edna Strawbridge Robinson. He was of the Freewill Baptist Faith and a 1970 graduate of Sulligent High School and attended Northwest Technical College in Hamilton. He worked at NACCO. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Hulsey Robinson and brothers, Dewey and Danny Robinson. He is survived by his son, Mitch Robinson of Columbus; daughter, Cindy Robinson of Sulligent; brother, Billy Robinson of Millport; sister, Vivian Gilmore of Detroit, Ala.; and one grandchild, Lydia James.
