ABERDEEN — Anthony Sykes, 58, died Feb. 1, 2026, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at New Life MB. Church, with George Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Rest Cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at the church. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sykes was born Nov. 5, 1967, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Bennie Lee Sykes and Essie Dean Sykes. He was a graduate of Governors State University and was formerly employed with Conexxus. He was a member of New Life M.B. Church.

He is survived by his sister, Stacey Sykes of Harvey, Illinois.
