STEENS — Annie Thomas, 77, died June 21, 2026, at West Point Community Living Center. 

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Friday, at Glenn Chapel C.M.E. Church in Columbus with the Rev. William Petty officiating. Burial will follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-6 p.m. Thursday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Thomas was born July 29, 1948, in Louisville, to the late Bill Jones and Leola Jones. She was formally employed at Johnston Tombigbee Furniture Company and was a member of Glenn Chapel C.M.E. Church. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Lonzell Jones and James Jones; son, Timothy Thomas; and one grandchild. 

She is survived by her children, Rhonda Jones and Candy Bradley, both of Columbus; siblings, Katherine Pippins of Macon and Bronnie Jones of Louisville; six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
