COLUMBUS — Ann Fenton Treadwell, 84, died Oct. 18, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice in Tupelo.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Oak Grove M.B. Church, with the Rev. Therman Cunningham officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Treadwell was born June 28, 1941, in Columbus, to the late King Fenton Sr. and Mary Ann Webber Fenton. She was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker at Mississippi University for Women and was a member of Oak Grove M.B. Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Treadwell; and siblings, Dan Fenton, King Fenton Jr., Lucille Collins, Emma Fenton, Annie Smith, Edith Martin, Celeste Fenton and Sallie Knight.
She is survived by her sons, Eric and Mark Treadwell; brother, Freddie Fenton; and eight grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Collins, Frederick Smith, Trell Smith, Henry Collins, Jerry Collins, Desmond Smith and Zay Collins.
