WEST POINT — Allison Dixon-McCarter, 61, died Aug. 31, 2025, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Paul M.B. Church, with Eddie A. Longstreet officiating. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation is from 4-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Dixon-McCarter was born Sept. 4, 1963, in West Point, to the late Bobby Dixon Sr. and Mattie Dixon Brooks. She was formerly employed with the United States Postal Service.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Vincent Dixon and Bobby Dixon Jr.

She is survived by her husband, Willie McCarter; step-daughters, Jessica McCarter and Sherrie McCarter, both of Columbus; sister, Mavis Young-Watts; and two grandchildren.
