WEST POINT — Alice Menrose Myers Matthews, 88, died Aug. 3, 2025. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Faith Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. Robinson Funeral Home of West Point is in charge of arrangements. 

Mrs. Matthews was born Aug. 1, 1937, in West Point to the late Joseph and Rosa Grissom Myers. She was a graduate of West Point High School and cosmetology school. She was formerly employed as a beautician. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Michael Oren Matthews; seven sisters; and four brothers. 

She is survived by her husband, Dale; children, Rondal Lee Matthews of Bessemer, Alabama, Tamara Rose Matthews Clark of West Point and Kenneth Dale Matthews of Brandon; sisters, Norma Clardy of West Point; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be Rich Stafford, Christian Wilson, Edwasrd Wilson Jr., Robert Fair, John Clardy, Eddie Clardy and Dave Burleson.
