COLUMBUS — Algene Hampton, 48, died Dec. 24, 2022, in Columbus. 

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to services at the funeral home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. Hampton was born Aug. 10, 1974, in Macon, to the late Gene Hampton and Gloria Shanklin. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Ampton Jr.; and sister, Latrice Taylor Hampton. 

He is survived by his fiancé, Jessica Hill; children, Algene Hampton Jr., Shamor Billups, Shanery Hampton, Tevin Sims, Jasmine Sims, Shania Williams; brothers, Deondre Hampton, Mario Taylor; sister, Cleopatra Shanklin.
