COLUMBUS — Alfonso O’Neal, 62, died Feb. 27, 2026. 

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, at Lee Sykes Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3-6 p.m. Saturday, at the funeral home. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Columbus is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. O’Neal was born Sept. 1, 1963, in Columbus, to the late Annie O’Neal and Willie James Walker. He was formerly employed as a restaurant cook.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Cherly Denise O’Neal McGhee. 

He is survived by his sister, Diane O’Neal, Patsy O’Neal Swope and Brenda Jean Martin.
