WEST POINT — Adolph Dyson, 71, died June 17, 2025, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Payne Chapel M.B. Church, with Tommy Lee Cox officiating. Burial will follow at Siloam/Mhoon Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-5 p.m. Friday, at Carter’s Mortuary Services. Carter’s Mortuary Services of West Point is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dyson was born Feb. 11, 1954, in Monroe County, to the late General Lee Hardy and Lucille Dyson. He was formerly employed in maintenance at Bryan Foods.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Ray Porter, Charle Lee Hunter and Lee Bryne Hardy.
He is survived by his wife, Catherine Robinson Dyson; sons, Coreno Blanchard and Cedric O. Dyson; daughter, Tiffany Harris; brothers, Harold Dyson, Aeron Dyson and Arthor Davis; sisters, Earnstine Jones, Lillie Pearl Wheeler, Brenda Hardy and Cynthia L. Jenkins; 21 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
