COLUMBUS — Ada Mae Conner, 77, died Jan. 21, 2026, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Piney Grove M.B. Church, with Michael Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is from 2-6 p.m. Friday at Carter’s Funeral Services. Carter’s Funeral Services of Columbus is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Conner was born April 28, 1948, in Columbus, to the late Loudelia Sanders and Louis Lang. She was formerly employed as a cook and waitress at The Queen of the Sea in Chicago, Illinois, and was a member of Piney Grove M.B. Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Liz Lang, Rebecca Jones, Leola Ellis, Sweet Emma Barrow Lane and James B. Lang.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Lang of Marshalltown, Iowa, Michael Lang and Sharonn Conner, both of Columbus, Diane King of Chicago, and Deborah Walls of Country Club Hills; siblings, Dorothy Roberson, Hattie Dismuke and Ellis B. Lang, all of Columbus; 14 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
