MACON — A.T. “Boot” Wells, 65, died June 15, 2025, at his residence.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, at Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church in Brooksville, with Willie Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery. Visitation is from 1-5 p.m. Friday at Lee-Sykes Funeral Home Chapel. Lee-Sykes Funeral Home of Macon is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Wells was born July 9, 1960, in Noxubee County, to the late Issac Wells Sr. and Annie Pearl Wells.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Cornelia Wells and Margie Wells-Tate.

He is survived by his son, Akeem Wells; siblings, Issac Wells, Willie C. Wells, Jessie Wells-McCoy, Teresa Wells and Annie Lee Wells, all of Brooksville, and J.T. Wells of Columbus.

Pallbearers will be the Black Diamond Motorcycle Club, Theodus Blair, Quincy Holmes, Tavories Slaughter, Theotis Holmes, Tavories Blair and Sammie Holmes.
