STARKVILLE — Reece Williams, 80, died Feb. 5, 2026, at Dugan Memorial Home in West Point.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, at Welch Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jason Stoker officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Welch Funeral Home of Starkville is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Williams was born Dec. 3, 1945, in Meridian, to the late James Edwards Williams and Ruby Denham Williams. He was a veteran of the United States Army. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ester Moulds; and brother, James Williams. 

He is survived by his daughters, Courtney Nickles and Stephanie Barrett; sisters, Carolyn Hudson and Linda Jordaan; brother, Larry Williams; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
