Officers with the Columbus Police Department responded to the intersection of Fifth St. and Main St. after a SUV hit a light pole.
James Poster was the driver of the single vehicle accident and witnesses said a female passenger fled the scene. However, Poster, who had a suspended drivers license, denied having a passenger in the vehicle.
Poster was pinned in the car momentarily but otherwise was uninjured.
