A woman is behind bars in connection to a Friday shooting that resulted in no injuries.
Daniyah Tate, 24, is charged with aggravated assault manifesting extreme indifference to life. Tate turned herself in to police Wednesday evening, a Columbus Police Department press release said.
CPD responded to reports of shots fired at about 8:46 p.m. Friday in the 100 block of Idlewild Road outside of the Chevron gas station, Public Information Officer Bryan Moore said. One vehicle with a person inside was struck by two bullets, though no injuries were reported.
Tate was identified as a suspect, though she fled the scene before police arrived. Moore said Tate and the victim knew each other and were the only two people involved in the shooting.
Moore said no additional arrests are expected.
