Columbus police made an arrest Thursday in a recent assault investigation.
According to information from Cpl. Donnie Elkin of the Columbus Police Department, officers arrested Lori Griffin Thursday at 2:39 p.m., at the 1900 block of Highway 45 North.
Griffin, 36, of 923 Fourth Ave. N. Apt. A in Columbus, was charged with one count of aggravated assault.
Elkin said the arrest resulted from an investigation that began on Monday when a 62-year-old white female reported the assault, which took place at Griffin”s address.
No bond or preliminary hearing has been set at this time.
