Mississippi residents have one more day to register to vote in the upcoming municipal primary election.
Municipal clerks’ offices across the state will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday to accommodate in-person voter registration.
Residents who register in person at their local municipal or circuit clerk’s office, as well as those who submit mail-in applications postmarked by Monday, March 3, will be eligible to vote in the municipal primary election on April 1.
In Columbus, the circuit clerk’s office is in the Lowndes County Courthouse, located at 505 Second Ave. N. In Starkville, the circuit clerk’s office is located in the Oktibbeha County Circuit Courthouse at 108 W. Main St.
Voters planning to cast an absentee ballot must do so in person by March 29. Mail-in absentee ballots must be postmarked by April 1 to be counted.
