STARKVILLE — A 4,000-square-foot outparcel at Triangle Crossing Shopping Center is under construction and will soon house two national brands.
Mark Castleberry, owner of Castle Properties and developer for Triangle Crossing, confirmed he entered agreements with two companies to occupy the space being built at the northeast corner of the shopping center, facing Highway 12. He did not release the names of the companies but said one will feature a drive-thru.
“That out-parcel was reserved and we have been working on this project for well over a year,” Castleberry said. “So, we’ve been working, but it just takes that much time to get the leases put together and then construction. After this, we are 100% occupied.”
Castle Properties began building Triangle Crossing in 2021 where the former Garan Manufacturing facility once stood. The shopping center opened in November and features several popular shops such as Aldi, Marshalls, Ulta Beauty, PetSmart and Rack Room Shoes.
Castleberry said dirt work and water/sewer installation are underway, and the building should be complete by December.
Burns Dirt Vice President of Operations and Contracting Nic Parish told The Dispatch Castle Properties contracted the company to complete excavation work. So far, the company has cleared the outline for the building and put in a concrete slab. Parish expects to finish that work by August.
After construction is complete, Parish said Burns Dirt will return and pave the curbs and parts of the parking lot.
“We did the original Triangle Crossing site (dirt work), and we were asked to come back to do this most recent parcel,” Parish said. “We’re changing over to the utility phase right now. So, we’re trying to install pipes and are about halfway through those right now. It’ll be about two weeks before they start foundations on the building.”
