STARKVILLE — Four more suspects have been arrested in relation to the murder of 9-year-old Lasang Kemp Jan. 5.
Starkville Police Department arrested Angelica Robertson, 25, Walter Deloach, 35, Jessica Hemphill, 40, and Jazzerine Peter Hart, 34, on Friday morning.
Robertson, Deloach and Hart are each charged with one count of accessory after the fact of the murder and six counts of accessory after the fact of aggravated assault, all of which are related to the incident that claimed Kemp’s life.
Additionally, Deloach faces a count of possession of a controlled substance, while Hart is also charged with four counts of trafficking a controlled substance and two counts of possession of a weapon by a felon, after police issued search warrants on Friday. Hemphill is charged with one count of controlled substance possession.
SPD has served 62 total warrants in the investigation of this case. The department would not release additional details on the case, or exactly how Robertson, Deloach and Hart were accessories, citing the ongoing investigation.
Kemp was fatally shot Jan. 5 on Santa Anita Drive when police believe Barron Hubbard, Tayron Fisher and Dellveon Lindsey shot into a vehicle Kemp was riding in with others. Shots rang out in the area around Brookville Garde Apartments earlier that night.
The three men were arrested the next day and each charged with murder and six counts of aggravated assault.
Robertson is being held in Oktibbeha County Jail with bond set at $210,000. Bonds for Deloach, Hart and Hemphill have not yet been set.
