The Sitel call center in Starkville announced today it”s adding more than 110 full-time positions in the past month with plans to add more than 300 positions by the end of October.
The move comes after the company announced layoffs in January of more than 250 people.
“The company is actively seeking technical, customer care, concierge and sales professionals to support three recent long-term customer wins, with a major U.S. financial services provider, a retail chain and an electronics manufacturer,” the company said in a release this morning,
“Sitel continues to set the standard for technical innovation and customer support excellence for call centers across the globe,” said Kendall Williams, Starkville site director. “These newly created positions will not only play a key role in deepening Sitel”s footprint and brand appeal across the industry, but also build on our 10 years of success in being a vital part of the vibrant Starkville community.”
Nashville-based Sitel has operated a call center in Starkville since 2000.
