Hazardous conditions and icy roads in Oktibbeha and Lowndes counties have resulted in an additional day of school closures.
Columbus Municipal School District, Lowndes County School District and Heritage Academy all announced Tuesday that schools would remain closed Wednesday.
Starkville-Oktibbeha Consolidated School District will be closed Wednesday and will delay Thursday’s start time by two hours. Starkville Academy also announced its campus will be closed Wednesday.
Mississippi State University and Mississippi University for Women will continue on a remote schedule Wednesday.
All East Mississippi Community College offices will be closed Wednesday, with classes meeting remotely or virtually.
