STARKVILLE — A Richton man was killed Sunday evening after the motorcycle he was riding collided with the rear of an SUV on Highway 12 in Starkville.
Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt identified the man as Jeremy Spiers, 37, in a Monday text to The Dispatch.
The crash occurred at about 8:38 p.m., according to a press release from Mississippi Highway Patrol Sgt. Derrick Beckom. Hunt said the crash happened near the intersection of the highway and Horseshoe Circle.
Spiers was pronounced dead at the scene, Hunt said. The other driver was uninjured, he said.
MHP is investigating the crash.
