Columbus police were on the lookout this week for a peeping Tom who has been spotted twice in the past two weeks peering through windows.
The most recent incident was reported Tuesday, in the 600 block of Sixth Street South at about 6:45 p.m.
A neighbor saw a man in a camouflage jacket looking through the window of a nearby house, said police Public Information Officer Terrie Songer. The man, who was not further identified, fled when he was approached.
On Jan. 6, a resident in the 1900 block of 12th Avenue North left her house at about 6:30 p.m. to find a black man, 17 to 20, wearing a navy blue jacket, jeans and Nike sneakers, looking through her window, Songer said.
No one has been taken into custody for either of the misdemeanors, which Songer said may be connected.
Anyone who has information about the case should contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-530-7151.
