Man”s best friend can receive the “spa treatment” this Saturday at the Oktibbeha County Co-Op when Mississippi State University veterinary students host a charity dog wash.
The students will receive dogs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Oktibbeha County Co-Op on Pollard Road. The dogs may receive a hair brushing, nail trimming, ear cleaning, a thorough bath and towel dry. MSU veterinary technicians and faculty members will supervise the students.
Donations will support the Homeward Bound Project of Mississippi, which started at MSU as an effort to relocate local homeless animals to pet owners in the northeastern United States, where shelter animals are less abundant.
