Columbus police made an arrest Monday in a stabbing incident Friday night.
According to information provided by CPD Public Information Officer Terrie Songer, Marvin Lee Richards, 29, of 1601 Third Avenue N. in Columbus, was arrested at 11:11 a.m. and charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and burglary of a house.
The arrest stems from an incident which occurred Friday at 9:17 p.m. in which officers responded to a call at the 1500 block of 20th St. N. regarding a person who had been stabbed.
According to the report, Richards walked into the victim”s home without being invited, and stabbed the victim several times.
The victim was transported to the emergency room at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle where he was treated and released.
No bond or court date has been set.
