ABERDEEN — The Monroe County grand jury has indicted a Maben man on capital murder charges stemming from a 2002 slaying.
Tony Williams Davis Jr. is accused in the Feb. 19, 2002, death of Judith Eileen Jones.
Davis, 44, of 1730 Turner Road in Maben, is in the custody of the Monroe County Sheriffs Department, and he is scheduled to be arraigned next week in Monroe County Circuit Court.
Jones” body was found at her Athens Quincy Road home in Monroe County.
No other details about the case have been released.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and the FBI have assisted Monroe County investigators in the case.
