Sixteenth Circuit Court judges Lee Howard and Jim Kitchens handed down the following sentences during the May term in Lowndes County:
Kitchens presiding
- Shimada Hoard, of 1429 Louisville Road in Starkville, pleaded guilty to embezzlement and was sentenced to five years probation and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $4,111.
- Richard Speed, of 1279 Wiley Road in Caledonia, had his probation on a prior conviction for burglary revoked. Speed was sentenced to 10 years in the Mississippi Department of Corrections with five years post-release supervision.
- Helena Criddle, of 67 Christopher Drive in Columbus, pleaded guilty to possession of oxycodone, less than 2 grams, and identity theft. Criddle was sentenced to 18 years in the MDOC, all suspended, and five years probation.
- Tori Danielle Mims, of 245 Marshall Drive in Columbus, pleaded guilty to possession of precursors and was sentenced to 20 years in the MDOC, all suspended, and five years probation with a fine of $5,000.
- Keri Williams, of 3681 E. Yorkville Road in Columbus, pleaded guilty to shoplifting and was sentenced to five years probation.
- Justin Atkinson, of 1880 Highway 47 in West Point, pleaded guilty to DUI-third offense and was sentenced to five years in the MDOC or one year house arrest with four years probation and fined $2,000.
- Natalie Harris, of 42 Henry Lane in Columbus, pleaded guilty to hindering prosecution and was sentenced to five years in MDOC, all suspended, and five years probation.
- Sharnika Evans, of 1605 Chism Drive in Starkville, pleaded guilty to perjury and was sentenced to six years in MDOC and four years post-release supervision.
- Wendy Schmitz, of 30 County Road 395 in Water Valley, pleaded guilty to felony shoplifting and was sentenced to five years probation, fined $1,000 and barred from Belk”s.

- Woodrow Hodo III, of 506 Peach St. in Columbus, pleaded guilty to taking a motor vehicle and was sentenced to 10 years in the MDOC, with nine years suspended, and five years post-release supervision.
- Roderick Dora, of 533 Shady Lane in Columbus, pleaded guilty to burglary of a dwelling. Sentenced to 20 years in MDOC, 15 years suspended, five years post-release supervision and ordered to pay $1,369 in fines and restitution.
- Ricky Adkins, of 20 Kathy Lane in Columbus, pleaded guilty to burglary of a shed and was sentenced to seven years in the MDOC, all suspended, five years probation and fined $500.
- Jason Hudson, of 2015 14th Ave. N. Apt. B in Columbus, pleaded guilty to aggravated assault and was sentenced to five years in MDOC and five years post-release supervision.
