The Columbus-Lowndes Development Link posted first-quarter figures that show the economic development agency is on target for income.
Board members received the quarterly financial report covering October through December at Friday’s quarterly meeting.
Melissa Cook, director the Link’s chamber of commerce program, gave the report.
Cook said contributions from banks are not reflected because banks are billed in January. Some of them have paid, and that will be reflected in the second quarter report.
“Everything else is tracking right on the way it should be,” she said.
The Link reported $227,550.67 in first-quarter income. The first-quarter income comprises 24.4 percent of the Link’s annual budget, currently projected at $934,150.00. Major sources of income were Lowndes County at $55,000, the city of Columbus at $25,000, the industrial authority at $35,062.50, the Columbus-Lowndes Convention and Visitors Bureau contract for $49,825.02 and memberships at $49,406.31.
First-quarter expenses totaled $190,611.40.
That leaves a net quarterly income of $36,939.27.
Cook said a big expense item in the first quarter was the purchase of a new color copier. That expense is already paying for itself with savings in printing costs.
