Columbus police are investigating a shooting early Thursday on Summer Haven Drive that hospitalized a juvenile with a gunshot wound.
Officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim in the East Columbus residence at about 12:21 a.m., a Columbus Police Department press release said. There, they found the wounded juvenile, who was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle for treatment.
Investigators collected shell casings from multiple rounds fired at the residence, and a vehicle parked outside was also struck by gunfire, the press release said.
The victim’s condition was not released by press time, and no arrests have been made.
